How to Remove the Fingerprint Option in IPAF – Easy Instructions

If you’re wondering how to remove the fingerprint option in IPAF, you’re probably accessing IPAF’s online training through a mobile or tablet device with biometric login enabled. While fingerprint sign-in is convenient, you may prefer to disable it for privacy, security, or device-sharing reasons.

IPAF itself does not control your fingerprint settings directly. The biometric login is handled by your device’s operating system (iOS or Android), and possibly your browser or authentication method (e.g., “Sign in with Apple” or Google). Here’s how you can disable it and choose a standard password-based login instead.

Step-by-Step: Disable Fingerprint Login

For iPhone or iPad (Touch ID):

  1. Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode.
  2. Enter your passcode when prompted.
  3. Turn off Touch ID for Safari AutoFill or related browser settings.
  4. If using “Sign in with Apple,” go to Settings > Apple ID > Password & Security, then manage apps using Apple ID.

For Android Devices:

  1. Open Settings > Security > Fingerprint.
  2. Confirm your screen lock.
  3. Remove registered fingerprints or disable fingerprint unlock for apps and browsers.
  4. In Chrome, go to Settings > Passwords > Turn off “Offer to save passwords.”

For Browsers (Chrome, Safari):

Once fingerprint login is disabled, you’ll need to use your email and password to access your IPAF eLearning dashboard. If you’re unsure of your password, reset it through the training provider’s portal.
