IPAF 1b Static Boom Training – Trailer-Mounted & Spider Lifts
IPAF Category 1b covers Static Boom MEWPs – machines with a static base and a boom that extends and elevates the platform. Includes trailer-mounted booms, spider lifts and similar machines used in tree care, building maintenance, glazing, signage and broadcast.

- Spider lifts / tracked booms (e.g. Hinowa, CMC, Easy Lift, Teupen)
- Lorry-mounted booms in static-deployed configurations

Course outline
One-day programme: classroom theory (categorisation, hazards, outrigger deployment, ground-loading, pre-use inspection, emergency descent) and hands-on practical operation. Includes IPAF theory test and practical assessment.
