Teach Others the Basics of Machine Safety

What is a Demonstrator?

A Demonstrator is trained to familiarise operators with the specific responsibilities, controls, and safety devices of a machine. Note: This is different from an Instructor; you are demonstrating familiarisation, not teaching full operator courses.

This course is vital for anyone responsible for handing over machines to customers or colleagues. It ensures you can demonstrate pre-use checks, safe operating procedures, and emergency descent systems confidently.

Entry Requirements

You must hold a valid IPAF Operator Licence (PAL Card) for the specific categories you wish to demonstrate. For example, to become a 3a Demonstrator, you must already be a 3a Operator.

  • Current IPAF Operator PAL Card
  • Experience of safe working practices
  • Ability to communicate clearly
