Common questions about powered access courses.
Do I need a harness?
Yes for Boom Lifts (3b/1b), but generally no for Scissor Lifts (3a) unless a specific site risk assessment requires it. Our course covers this in detail.
Can I do the course on my own site?
Yes, provided you have a suitable machine and a safe area for practical training. This is often more cost-effective for groups.
What is a PAL Card?
The Powered Access Licence (PAL) Card is the globally recognized proof that you have been trained to operate MEWPs safely.
How long does the training take?
Operator courses are typically one full day (approx 8am – 4pm). This includes both theory and practical sessions.
