IPAF Operators License​

A IPAF Photo Card and Certificate will be issued to successful delegates who completed and passed both theory and practical sessions which a 2 year validity period

Digital copy of the license will be issued 40hrs after successful training completion.

No formal qualifications or experience are necessary, but it would be beneficial if delegates had basic understanding of working at height issues. IPAF Operators License Course Syllabus

Benefit from the course​

Personnel who will be responsible for the safe operational of the MEWP, carrying out all pre use safety checks. Allowing the operator to have full knowledge on rescue procedure whilst working at height.

Learning Objectives

To instruct an operator to prepare and safely operate various types of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) and obtain an IPAF MEWP Operators license.

Course Content​

Primary training –

  • Selection of an appropriate MEWP
  • Purpose and use of operator’s manuals
  • Pre – start inspection
  • Factors of stability
  • Common hazards
  • Workplace inspection
  • Mewp controls

Method

Instruction in both theory and practical sessions with assessments.

Literacy, Fitness and Health

Delegates must meet the following criteria: comprehend the language of instruction, possess basic literacy skills, and be physically fit. They should not have issues with eyesight or hearing, heart disease or high blood pressure, epilepsy, fear of heights or vertigo, giddiness or balance difficulties, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence, or psychiatric illness.
