Do I Need Training for a PAV?

YES. Even though they are small, static machines without a drive motor, you must be trained to use them safely. However, if you already hold a valid PAL Card for 1a (Static Vertical) or 3a (Mobile Vertical), you only require familiarisation, which should be recorded in your digital logbook.

This IPAF operator course covers the safe use of Push Around Vertical (PAV) platforms. These machines are widely used for indoor maintenance, facility management, and shopfitting. Our half-day course ensures you understand the risks and can operate the equipment competently.
